Some are ready to crucify de Pearl and Tappa...but...
Could it just be that de Pearl and Tappa took action independently? Could it be that the reasons for each are different? Or...if the reasons are based on the same premise/principle whatever, they thought it best to "Stand up"? Could it be that their silence stems from a belief that speaking now could be detrimental to the Reggae Boyz ride on the "Orient Express"? Could it be that in the players minds they by their actions are aiding or initiating/pressuring for good administrative practices to be implemented?
Could it be that in the minds of the players, they are being silent, suffering for the good of the programme, thinking all will be known in good time?
Just, Karl, thinking out loud! I would really like to know the true facts/circumstances. Don't you?

Karl: As much as I respect their right to stand up and let their feelings on issues heard by us fans and the JFF administration, the move by them is really self defeating. Firstly, we need to field our best team to qualify for WC2002. Secondly, both need to be in the national squad, if they intend to continue playing in England. Remember, they have a preference for playing in England, and the English FA requires so many national representations within a certain time frame. Whereas this may not be a problem for Tappa, for Boyd it could really be a problem. This is even more so now, considering he is out of contract and looking a team at this time.
I would say, Boyd is cutting off his nose to spite his face.

Tilla: I hear you! But....it could be a case of "A man must stand for something or he would lie (down) for anything".
