Karl: Seems as if you are coming round to the fact that Dixon has lost a couple of steps in his play?
Personally, I think we lost the game because we did not want the win as much as Mexico. I also wondered about bringing in Paul Hall instead of Barry Hayles, the in form striker who is starting for his team. Paul Hall is not even making the bench in his team for the games just started in the First Division.
I also wondered about the changes Clovis made and when he made them. He took out Withmore (attacking mid), Darryl Powell (defensive mid) and Deon Burton (Striker). He replaced them with Andy Williams (atracking mid), Micah Hyde (attacking mid) and Paul Hall (striker). I guess this move really turned the pressure on our defense?
I also want to know if Nandi have secret for Clovis? As much as Nandi has the potential for scoring goals, you have to know to pull him if he is not playing for the team!
It also scares me seeing Nandi arguing with the referee, as I see him getting sent off and us having to play with ten men.
Why can we not come up with something new to give our oponents a surprise? I mean form the starting team to the subs, we are not getting the job done.
Well it is on to Honduras, and it is going to be tough. I just hope that we can force a win. We need to stop being so predictable, we need to run more off the ball, we need to close down our opposing players when the opposition has the ball. We tend to give too much space for teams to build their play around us. I also think that we need to have Jamie Lawrence in the midfield.

I guess I erred in saying that Micah came on for Darryl. It was actually striker Barry Hayles.

I would tell Clovis not to make any subs during these last three games. It doesn't matter if the players legs are falling off. Leave them on the field. The same eleven from start to finish.
The reason is: our subs have not had any impact on the games played so far. Okay, Jamie Lawrence being the exception and maybe Fuller, to an extent, in the game against the USA. But so far the subbing is very questionable.
Anyway we have to regroup, refocus and go to Honduras with the intention that we can win, we must win, and play with the will to win. It will be hard though, because Honduras is a team that is in form and bubbling in confidence. Plus they will be playing at home.

The 'funny thing' is this same collection of players can get to the Orient. It is the leadership surrounding them that is the impediment.
Two things stand out: a) Level of support i) funds expended to arrange quality opponents during preparation b) level of intelligence of those doing the leading... Isn't that not what determines the actual plans for and the resulting actions during preparation?
