HL!!!.......Have you seen this report???

2020 Highlights of 19 year-old RB, Bryan Reynolds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHTG2YYzV84

***If this transfer goes through, it would say a lot about his performance, in 2 1/2 months, & how much he's rated. Bryan Reynolds became a FC Dallas full-time starter (he has 15 starts - 1 in 2019 & 14 in 2020) in September 2020, after Reggie Cannon was transferred to Boavista.......Also, there are reports, out of Portugal, that S.L. Benfica has contacted Boavista about acquiring Reggie Cannon, in the January transfer window.
FC Dallas academy is doing a very good job.

No...have not. Happy for the Kid !!

USAF December 18th, 2020 06:20 PM

Now, 18 year-old CM Gianluca Busio garnering more Euro interest: https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2020/...gianluca-busio
***I think the best think that happened to Busio, is Peter Vermes moving him from AM to CM/DM.
NOTE: His mother is Jamaican.

HL December 18th, 2020 07:32 PM

I miss Cap'n Burrell. He would be on top of prospects like this!

USAF December 18th, 2020 11:41 PM

Besides Busio, in the USMNT player pool there are:
1. 20 year-old CF Nicholas Gioacchini (SM Caen) - Mother is Jamaican
2. 21 year-old CB Mark McKenzie (Philadelphia Union); Celtic F.C. has made an offer for him - Parents are Jamaican
3. 23 year-old LW Jonathan Lewis (Colorado Rapids) - Mother is Jamaican
***I think Jamaica should recruit Isaac Hayden (Newcastle United 25 year-old DM). That's Jamaica's starting DM.

USAF December 18th, 2020 11:54 PM

Juventus notified Schalke 04 that they will pay the 23M for the transfer of Weston McKennie.......FC Dallas should get about $565K in Solidarity Payments for the transfer.

USAF January 7th, 2021 08:20 PM

21 year-old CB, Mark McKenzie (parents are Jamaican), is the 3rd young player in the USMNT pool to have transferred to Europe (Philadelphia Union to RCK Genk), since the end of the 2020 MLS season: https://www.espn.com/soccer/soccer-t...adelphia-union

***18 year-old RB, Joseph Scally, transferred from NYCFC to Borussia Monchengladbach, Jan. 1.......20 year-old AM, Brenden Aaronson, transferred from Philadelphia Union to Red Bull Salzburg, Jan. 1.

HL January 8th, 2021 12:06 PM

I default to my second comment above....

"I miss Cap'n Burrell.....".

What are your views on the current crop of Reggae BoyZ?

USAF January 9th, 2021 04:14 AM

I think they have some good players, and if managed effectively & efficiently could make a serious run for a 2022 WCQ spot. This will be the busiest year in CONCACAF men's soccer, so Jamaica will have to be very careful how they use their First Team/Squad players - there's Gold Cup, Nations League & WCQ, and when you factor in a full professional club season, you could see a lot of fatigue & injuries, so the better CONCACAF teams should be preparing their best players for WCQ.
Based on my limited knowledge of the ReggaeBoyz player pool, and using a 4-3-2-1 formation:
GK: Andre Blake (one of the best in CONCACAF, capable of starting for ANY team in the region)
LB: Kemar Lawrence (was one of the best in CONCACAF, but I notice that he hasn't been getting much starts, & I haven't seen reports of injury)
CB: Damion Lowe (has all the physical tools & has good performances when he plays with control)
CB: Adrian Mariappa (34 years-old, but brings a wealth of experience playing in PL and CONCACAF. Put him ahead of Hector, who is struggling for playing time, in a weak Fulham defense)
RB: Oniel Fisher (plays with more control than Powell. Presently unattached, but MLS & USL teams are interested)
LM: Daniel Johnson
DM: (still feel that the JFF should go after Isaac Hayden, and he'd be a BIG asset to the ReggaeBoyz)
RM: Bobby Decordova-Reid
LAM: Leon Bailey
RAM: Ravel Morrison
CF: Shamar Nicholson

Today, 19 year-old CF, Matthew Hoppe, became the first American to score a hat-trick in the German Bundesliga: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqDX...feature=onebox

A dual-national, 20 year-old DM Andres Perea, has officially switched allegiance from Colombia to the U.S.A. - https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2021/...pproves-switch

***1 down, and about 7 more to go.......Not sold on Gregg Berhalter as the USMNT head coach, but he, Earnie Stewart and Brian McBride are doing a pretty good job of identifying & recruiting dual-nationals.

Jordan Morris has gone on loan with Swansea City, for the rest of the 2020-21 season: https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2021/...a-city-english

17 year-old NYRB AM, Caden Clark, is heading to RB Leipzig after the conclusion of the 2021 MLS season: https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2021/...fer-rb-leipzig

USAF February 1st, 2021 09:21 PM

TODAY, was a busy day for USMNT players:
1. 19 year-old RB, Bryan Reynolds (FC Dallas) to AS Roma: https://www.bigdsoccer.com/fc-dallas...-reynolds-roma
- Roma had to fight off challenges from AC Milan & Juventus to sign Reynolds. 2 weeks ago it looked like Reynolds was transferring to Juventus.
2. 20 year-old CB, Chris Richards (FC Bayern Munich) loaned to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim
3. 27 year-old RB, DeAndre Yedlin (Newcastle United) transferred to Galatasaray S.K.
4. 20 year-old CF, Daryl Dike (Orlando City) loaned to Barnsley F.C.
5. 25 year-old RM, Paul Arriola (DC United) loaned to Swansea City F.C.

USAF February 3rd, 2021 01:43 AM

17 year-old CB, Justin Che (FC Dallas), was loaned to FC Bayern Munich, until the end of the season, with an option to buy: https://www.transfermarkt.us/bayern-...ew/news/379576

The USA has an 'abundance of talent '.

(I hope x and his cohorts don't come looking for me...using the latter Jamaican term).

This constant flow of young talent, to some of the TOP Euro clubs, is the result of the investment in and increased focus on youth development by MLS - This youth development program started in 2016/17, so it's still very young.......The clubs that have seriously bought into the league's vision, like FC Dallas & Philadelphia Union, are leading the league, and I'm happy to see others, like Orlando City & DC United, starting to take it seriously.
