The question this December 2009...decades past article asks, is whether or not any of the stated points are relevant or applicable to our current attempt at qualifying for the 2026 Men World Cup, the coming Women World Cup and the lesser tournaments? Jamaicans love the idea of being world beaters, it really doesn’t matter what the endeavor is as long as we are competing at a high level and have a chance to compete, we love it and we are totally into it! It makes us feel special and validates our sense of self, our sense of being Jamaican!
