Senior People's National Party (PNP) member Senator Floyd Morris says the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) is running scared now that the governing Peoples' National Party has cranked up its election motorcade.
Addressing a party divisional meeting in St. Mary Saturday Senator Morris took a swipe at the JLP for what is a reported move to ban motorcades in the Western end of the island.
However JLP General Secretary Karl Samuda says the PNP has got it wrong.
Mr. Samuda argued that the parties will have to abide by the rules laid down by the police.
He said it was the party's intention to have a good look at the methods that should be applied under the circumstances to ensure that the motorcades are effective and orderly.
