  • I found the link - Gullah are basically remnats of British

Slavery, I have often wondered about the linguistic similarities between the Gullah and west indians , my research has led me to conclude that it was an attempt by the British to destabalise America by using that link of black slaves under their oppression to wage a guerrila war ,like the spainards did with the marrons in Jamaica.

The battle of Negro Fort was just that ,the 1st Gullah war or Black Seminole war or the "Indian Negro war".They were supported by the British and Spanish to wage war against the USA.

The 2nd War was referred by The American commander, General Jesup, informed the War Department that, "This, you may be assured, is a negro and not an Indian war"; and a U.S. Congressman of the period commented that these black fighters were "contending against the whole military power of the United States."

Deep history , truly Buffalo soldiers, Bob know im history, betta dan me , it took me X years to fully grasp it.

Unlike the marrons who found peace by a treaty, the Gullahs were devastated by war, slavery and exile.

Good read X. I had not known that the Black Seminoles were primarily of Gullah origin.

There is also litreature that claim it was one of the reasons to abolish slavery(still reaserching ) ,as much as the abolitionist movement ,but you see how they skew African history to be so diminished to obscure the fact , that Africans, though used (British/Spanish) took on the military might of the USA for their freedom, like the maroons did the British.

      Ahhh sahhh.
