A returning resident who employed the services of a Jamaica Union of Travellers' Association (JUTA) taxi to transport him home from the airport was pleased to have encountered an honest Jamaican.
The returning resident thought he had removed all his belongings on leaving the taxi, but later realised he had left a bottle of liquor in the vehicle. "I had no information about the name or contact information for the taxi driver and just assumed that I would not see it (bottle of liquor) again," the returning resident said. "To my amazement, the taxi driver found his way back to my home the following morning and said his wife had seen the box in the vehicle and concluded that it had to be mine and so drove all the way back to my home to deliver it."
