After Tamba had danced to Munga Honourable's Bad From Me Born and the Asylum After-Work host Ity quipped "Me an' Kyino no bathe" last Friday, he announced that "We going to bring on the biggest artiste".
"This is the only artiste no one can contest with popularity. This artiste became an international artiste without singing one song. Everywhere you go in the world and see a wall, it have on him name," Ity said.
"If you go to Negril, swim out and dive 400 feet and see a stone, written on that stone will be the name.," Ity said.
And there was no need for him to say anything more, as the after-work crowd at Asylum chanted "LA Lewis".
"This is a gigantic, a huge, momentous moment. Help we welcome LA Lewis," Ity said.
And LA Lewis was on in full white, microphone in his right hand, a bottle of liquor and half-full glass in his left.
He actually started by deejaying, saying "you see me rolling with a Razor, check out me jacket; it's a blazer". But that brief stint, which did not make much impact on the crowd, was all the deejaying he did. "People, me love oonu. A years me no tek Asylum stage. Me nah chat no lyrics. A Sting me sey," LA Lewis said.
He handed his cellphone to a girl at the front of the stage, saying "me like yu" and was soon off the stage, after some more talking.
Ity asked that the woman who had LA Lewis' cell to return it, laughing as he said "him sey him no have no credit. De number dem rub off".
"That was LA Lewis. A de firs' time me a see him pon a stage," Ity said. "Oonu too?" he asked the Asylum crowd and there was a general 'yes'. "Nex' year, me a keep a big concert a Jam World. LA Lewis in concert. $1,000. Concert sell off!" Ity said, laughing.

Man say him was the first on the scene by donating his song to the victims.

I picked up this lady from the airport one day and she was going on and on about this famous artiste who she met and all the wonderful things he told her. The minute she started saying he said he had a collaboration with Michael Jackson, I knew she was talking about LA Lewis.

The man had this lady convinced he was some big artiste all over the world.
