CALABAR High's star athlete, Christopher Taylor, made his season debut in grand style at Thursday's Digicel Anthrick Corporate Development meet at the UWI Usain Bolt Stadium.
Taylor, who competed in the 200 metres, showed no signs of rust from a long lay off as he clocked an impressive 20.98 seconds to win the Class One boys 200 metres.
Coming into the meet, there were several question marks over Taylor, but his time showed he is close to his best form. He has now qualified for next Saturday's Digicel Grand Prix finals at National Stadium. Joining him in the final is Excelsior High's Andel Miller was second in 21.21.
