  • Just an FYI

Ryan Johnson, Stephen Deroux and Andy Williams are put up by their teams for the expansion draft. What it means is that any of the players could potential be picked by the new mls franchise Toronto FC. The draft is this friday the 17th. I will let you know if any get selected.

Mosiah I heard that Jermaine Hue was released by his club in Sweden. Is there any possibility that he might try for the Toronto team? - T.K.

Even if Dane is that good, if he doesn't have a green card he will might be drafted further downthe line.

Oh I did not know they had a rule like that..but it does make sense. I hope he has a sensible agent who will start the process for him. Dont they have work permit system like England and else where?

I have always assumed that the baseball and hockey players who dont wish to live in the US in the off-season got special visas that allows them to play.

Andy is a Canadian citizen by birth. It would be interesting to see if he could use that to get into the team there.

But look how he decided to give up his international career to focus on his club ball and now they are thinking of trading him. Hell, he will have to sell the damn house again. Andy has lost so much money with these quick buy and sells.

Yes Sickko he is and would not count against Toronto FC's international player limit. Somehow in my gut I get the feeling this is an MLS backroom deal to allow the highest profile Jamaican in the league to end up in Toronto. Watch for some bizzare trade with De Rosario in the coming months that somehow finds a way to land him in Toronto as well. I think Andy was targeted from day one by MLS to go to the Toronto franchise. I have no proof but as the saying goes...the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior and MLS is a very convenient league when it wants to be. - T.K.
