STURDY midfield play and strong defending by both teams resulted in a 0-0 draw between Boys' Town and Portmore United in their Cash Plus Premier League encounter at Collie Smith Drive yesterday.
Strong winds made keeping the ball under control difficult early in the first half as airborne balls floated away from their intended targets, Boys' Town tried to protect a record of four home matches undefeated, while Portmore remained top of the premier league after walking away with a point.

The home team came close to going ahead 40 minutes into the game, but the player was ruled off-side. Derrick Planter again came close to putting his team ahead with five minutes remaining on the clock, but he missed the opportunity after slipping and sending the ball into the waiting arms of Portmore goalkeeper Dwayne Kerr.
Team technical director, Andrew Price, bemoaned his team's finishing: "We really have a problem with putting away opportunities," he said.
Portmore coach Linval Dixon was welcomed the draw. "Not our best performance but we fight because we know it's going to be tough when we play Boys' Town... we didn't take the opportunities we got but we have to move on," he said.
