    Whites chase Euro stars

GARY Megson has assembled a team of respected ex-professionals to help him find the players he needs to haul Wanderers clear of the drop zone.
Within days of appointing Colin Harvey to the key role of chief scout, the Reebok boss has shown he means business by recruiting a selection of hand-picked talent-spotters - all with extensive managerial or coaching experience.

The team includes two former strikers - Wimbledon stalwart Alan Cork and the former Aston Villa and Norwich favourite John Deehan - who have been managers in their own right, while former Everton players - Alan Harper and Terry Darracott - both well known to Harvey from his days at Goodison - have extensive coaching experience.

The Bolton scouting team were on the road during the international break, checking out potential signings as Megson gears up for what is likely to be a hectic month of trading when the transfer window opens on January 1.

There has been speculation almost on a daily basis over who will be going and who will be coming and, although much of the rumour is likely to be wide of the mark, Wanderers are expected to be one of the busiest, if not the busiest, of the 20 Premier League clubs during the window.
Denmark international, Jon Dahl Tomasson, who is currently out of favour at Spanish club Villareal is the latest in a long line of strikers reported to be on Wanderers' radar.
