This month the FIFA Development Division will be traveling to all four corners of the globe for a whole host of projects including a trip to Guinea to check on the building of its new Nationa Technical Centre. Asia Hong Kong, January 28, Inauguration of the first GOAL Project Mohamed Bin Hammam, chairman of the GOAL Bureau will open the first GOAL project for Hong Kong. The newly renovated Headquarters for the Hong Kong FA will further enhance the administration and development of football in the country.
Korea DPR, January 29, Inauguration of the second GOAL Project Mohamed Bin Hammam, Chairman of the GOAL Bureau will open the second GOAL project for DPR Korea. The newly renovated Headquarters and Training Centre with two grass pitches will be the focal point for the various national teams' training and the organisation of various education programmes for coaching and refereeing.
Africa Guinea, January 3-7, First GOAL Project The Guinea Football Federation is benefiting from its first GOAL project - the construction of a National Technical Centre. FIFA will visit Guinea to check the development of its construction.
Burkina Faso, January 10-14, Second GOAL Project Burkina Faso benefited from a new National Technical Centre as part of its first GOAL project and and now a second is underway. The country's FA will shortly have its own Headquarters, therefore completing the Centre.
Egypt, January 19, Inauguration of GOAL Project The day before the CAF African Cup of Nations begins, FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter will open the first Goal Project in Egypt. It is a Technical Center that will serve the needs of the Egypt FA to further the development of aspiring footballers.
Egypt, January 20 - February 10, CAF African Cup of Nations The 25th CAF African Cup of Nations will take place in Egypt from the January 20 to February 10. Sixteen countries will participate to the competition.. During the event there will be a meeting of the FIFA Development Officers in Africa together with the Development Management Team from FIFA.
North and Central America
Mexico, January 18-27, 2006 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Qualification Between 18 and 27 January, nine teams from the CONCACAF region will attempt to claim a place at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Championship Russia 2006. Two places are up for grabs and Mexico, Canada, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago, El Salvador, Jamaica, Surinam and USA will take part in the preliminary stage. A FUTURO III course takes place in Lusala. South America
Chile, January 4, CONMEBOL Women's U-20 Qualification The U-20 Women's South American Championship will take place in the cities of Vina del Mar and Valparaiso. The two best South American teams will go on to qualify at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Championship Russia 2006. All ten national teams from CONMEBOL have confirmed their participation.
Brazil, January 20-22, Course for Assistant Referees in Londrina The Brazilian Football School, established via the GOAL Project, has organised a course for assistant referees. This course will take place in the UNOPAR University in the city of Londrina. However, each participant will be able to follow the course from his or her home town thanks to a satellite system that allows them to receive the information live and also to interact with the teachers and with the rest of the other participants.
Europe Switzerland, January 27 - February 4, Instructors' Courses for Com-Unity, FUTURO III Administration & Management and Refereeing in Zurich As at the beginning of every year FIFA invites instructors of the various programmes to a seminar in their respective topic to exchange experiences, discuss possible improvements, and present new teaching material.
Russia, January 14-15, Visit of the FIFA President to Moscow The annual visit of the FIFA President to the International Football Club Tournament (CIS Cup) in Moscow. During this occasion FIFA President will meet with the Presidents and General Secretaries of all 15 former Soviet National Associations.

St Kitts and Nevis, November 28-December 1, Financial Assistance Programme Seminar This FAP seminar will bring together more than 20 Member Associations from the Caribbean part of CONCACAF and will be the last one for the Americas (after Mexico in October and Venezuela in November). Various topics will be addressed such as: Transfer of Players, Women's Football and Beach Soccer.
