Under-23s back in camp Observer Reporter Tuesday, August 12, 2003
EIGHTEEN players have been summoned for an Under-23 football training camp to begin today.
They are: Alex Thomas, Wayne Ellis, Tyrone Sawyers, Maurice Evans, Allien Whittaker, Garfield Reid, Chrsitopher Harvey, Omar Brissett, Roland Dean, Lenworth Hyde Jr, Lacon Brissett, Damion Williams (Seba), Ruel Wilson, Demar Phillips, Desmond Breakenridge, Weston Forrest, Khari Stephenson and Richard Edwards. The players are being asked to report to the players' residence at 102 Shortwood Road at 2:00 pm. The Under-23s are preparing for a friendly two-game tour of the Cayman Islands in preparation for their Olympic qualifying tie against Cuba starting next month. |

Under-20s in Germany for friendly tourney JAMAICA'S under-20 footballers are now in Germany where they will participate in the Sp Vgg Oberndorf Under-19 football tournament starting tomorrow.
The friendly tournament, which will run over three days, will see the zone stage being played in two 25-minute halves, with the finals set for two 30-minute halves.
The young Reggae Boyz will play in Group A with SC Freiburg (German Bundesliga), Qatar and FC Botafogo (Brazil). Group B will feature VfB Stuttgart (German Bundesliga), Athletico Madrid (Primer Liga, Spain), Arsenal (Premier League, England) and FC Kaiserslautern (German Bundesliga). The contingent, which left the island on Tuesday, will return to the island next Monday.
The 18-man squad includes: Cleveland Taylor, Simieon Howell, Bradley Thomas, Keniel Moodie, Wade Spence, Merrick Howard, Sean Mason, Dean Thompson, Luton Shelton, Howard Wong, Duran Myton, Akeem Preistly, Ricardo Taylor, Duwayne Kerr, Ryan Thompson, Rafei Wolfe, Kieron Bernard and Jermaine Taylor.
