The Captain comes awake…At Last!
The best news to come out of the JFF in years came out of the mouth of Captain Horace Burrell in the last two days. The Captain has announced that the Technical Director and he have agreed to keep the national senior team, the Reggae Boys, in a continuous state of match readiness.
Added to that statement is the Captain’s promise that the Reggae Boyz will be involved in frequent match-play. The Captain has informed us that he has already acted on his pronouncements and is lining up matches for the Reggae Boyz.
The Massive is ecstatic. Assasin, one of the chief protagonists of the prolonged period of malaise by the JFF, has already shouted his glee. I would advise Assasin and others to keep the pressure on…no resting until the Reggae Boyz are on top of the world. Then, unto the plans to keep us there….but, I am getting before myself.
The stated intentions are welcome news. Good thoughts, Captain! Now unto the execution of the announcements.
Forward!

Mac Re: Lot of hot air from the captain lately Fri May 31 08:32:55 2002 130.91.16.87
I hope that Burell and C. Brown know what they are doing. They are doing a lot of big talk about the program lately. The last time they tried this strategy, they ran out of money and had to drastically reduce the scope of the program.
Everything sounds good but then there is reality. I will look for results and not just talk. It is still my opinion that the JFF is trying to do too much at one time. They are trying to do this overall football development, scale up the national football programs and running the various football leagues all at the same time. If they can pull it off with Brown then it should be a great success. However I will wait to see where the money will come from to implement all these plans.
As Assasin has been saying, I would like to see more of this information coming from C. Brown rather than Burell because it is Brown who should be leading the planning of running the football side of things. I am also still waiting on the Brown plan.
