for the Reggae Boyz not reaching Japan/Korea was INADEQUATE PREPARATION OF TEAM.

"HL :A few pages back you stated that Jamaica should go back to a defensive style of football because that was what got us to France.
I say, no way. Not in this lifetime.
In '98' we had no choice but to play that brand of soccer...defensive. That was okay then. But since then, we have grown leaps and bounds. Unfortunately, the other teams grew also.
Notice: Jamaica, with a bit of luck, could have made to Japan/Korea. What was the difference in my book: I think the major difference was "Preparation". Jamaica's preparation left a lot to be desired. And I am still awaiting some form of explanation, from the JFF, for our approach to qualification.
What really killed us though, was our long summer vacation when we simply did nothing, seeminly, to enhance our chances for reaching Japan/Korea. The Central American countries had the South American football championship to use as a form of preparation.
Therefore, I don't see why we should now change our more attacking style for a defensive posture.
Respect and irie ites! Charmin
