Internetsoccer.com - News. Kansas City striker Onandi Lowe has received praise from his Rushden and Diamonds strike partner, despite the goals drying up. Scott Partridge has heaped praise on Lowe as the duo look to continue shooting Rushden towards the Second Division in the next three months.
Lowe, on-loan from Major League Soccer club Kansas until February, scored on his debut and made one for Partridge last month and has been an instant hit at Nene Park.
However, the goals have dried up, with Lowe failing to register in his three matches that followed his debut goal.
Still, Partridge, who came on in the the second half of the 1-0 defeat at Luton on Saturday, heaped the praise on the shoulders of the Jamaican international.
"He's a big lad and he's done well since he's been here," said Partridge. "He wins a lot in the air, as you expect of his size and he has a great touch for a big lad.
"He can get the ball down, so he's got a different aspect to his game. I just hope we haven't peaked too soon."
Lowe has been in the side after the enforced absence of top-scorer Duane Darby with a stomach injury, but with the former Hull striker on his way back, Lowe's partner will be a choice between Partridge, who has found his best form for the club in recent weeks and Darby.
