I am hoping they will perform well in the finals. While I am reasonably confident in Costa Rica and Mexico putting up a good show...the US looks extremely unlikely to do well.
The US team needs a few creative players and the rapid development of Donovan and two other persons as "out and out" goalscorers. The shape of the team looks good...but, I have my doubts about the ability to keep pace with the players that will be met at what is the very highest level of football...World Cup Finals match play. Their, preparation, in particular, must now shift into a higher gear.
An honest appraisal of the play in the Hexagonal says that these three teams had put on display the highest levels of team-play displayed. With due respect to the attacking flair of Honduras, her defense was porous. The best TEAMS qualified.
