..and fearless, there was a good chance he would have that head on collision but he still made the challenge, the central defense pair was good.

Karl...the three opportunities to score were off of Mexican turnovers deep in their half...we simply intercepted the ball on each occasion...we didn't "create" those opportunities...let's be real...

              HUGE results.
Not having beckford hurt us...I have more faith in him than Johnson.

Skeng, how can you say that? He should have CLAAATTED THAT BALL instead of trying to pass it into the goal. He underestimated the Mexican goalie's determination. Good lesson by him on "never saying never", but still, McAnuff really frigged that up. No bly for him.

Awsome shot blocker! Very poor distributing the ball, that's not good enough at this level. What's up with the constant kicking the ball to the other keeper or blasting it outside? he needs to be better overall, especially with his distribution!!

...so on each occasion the ball fell to our player and he was in on goal?
                      That, my friend, never happened!

                      There were series of passes!

                        Here you go:

                        1. 8th minute - Mexico's defender pressured.
Loses ball to the Jamaican (#6?)...who passes to his TEAMmate (#22?)...
TEAMmate dribbles forward...a few stepovers to make space...centers...TEAMmate (#10?) meets the cross and passes it onto the upright...Mex. 'keeper beaten all ends up...ball rebounds from upright to #10...pass to Mex 'keeper.

                        2.

Yes, very unfortunate that he had to have that blemish.

He apparently has no confidence in his wing backs or midfielder taking the ball up field, despite they have been effective in the past at doing so.

There is nothing awesome about Ricketts' keeping last night. Same old same old big kick out of the back as if he does not have a head. I will allow him with that in this game however, but not going forward. If Miller is not good enough, thn the good Captain needs to go out and find us a competent goalkeeper.
The way Ricketts keep is not my idea of good goalkeeping much more "awesome". There is a word that is grossly overused inappropriately nowadays. . .
"Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing. And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance." ~ Kahlil Gibran

He was distributing the ball to orders last night...you could see it...he was told to punt deep to the wings...you could see McAnuff and Johnson telling him where they wanted the ball...so I do think he was awesome...stopped (3) clear goals with his big body...
