    Connecticut Based Organization Aims To Make Christmas A Joyous Time for the Children of Haiti Millions of children in Haiti will NOT have a single gift to open on Christmas Day!

    The Connecticut Haitian American Organization, (CHAO ) Inc. / CT Haitian Earthquake Relief fund team is conducting its first annual toy drive to help make Christmas a joyous time for the children of Haiti. The organization wants to make sure as many children as possible will receive at least one present from Santa this year. Their goal is to collect 15,000 toys between now and November 11th. A core team will travel to Haiti in December to deliver the toys to hospitals, orphanages and several tents city in Port-au-Prince.

    CHAO Inc. is looking for other local organizations which are willing to be a partner to the toy drive, by allowing the use of their facility as one of the drop off locations for collecting the toys and financial donations to be shipped to Haiti in time for the Christmas Holidays.

    CHAO helps provide relief to highly-publicized problems, such as the recent devastating epic earthquake on January 12, 2010, in the capitol city of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, as well as to lesser publicized on-going difficulties encountered by the people of Haiti on a daily basis.
