Gain, some clown said its comparable to St Mary and it won't affect their economy, A 700k visitors a year increase to Jamaicas tourist industry would be more than welcome, esp to St Mary.

Nassau is the top destination, bringing in 2.6 million visitors between January and July this year, but Grand Bahama and Abaco are the next most visited spots, accounting for about 734,000 visitors between them.

“Because they are out of commission, that is going to have an impact on the economy.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

When there is a drought in the Serengeti....the John Crow dem ave a field day. They benefit from the pain and suffering of all the animals affected.

That you would chose this as a topic to bicker about is.....................
The only time TRUTH will hurt you...is if you ignore it long enough

Of course the strained relationship we have with all our smelly fingers pointing Caribbean neighbours is impactful but it could have easily been Jamaica, what then would be your take?
We wish them a speedy recovery.

Esp given the toxic history of anti jamaican sentiment echoed from the halls of its government. That said delving out disingenious information that the bahamas tourist industry would not be affected is even more scurrilous and then defending and chiming in from some self righteous pulpit like as if one has no odour.

Who said it will not be affected. It will not be affected tourism in in a very huge way. It could have been worst. Most of the big hotel players and destinations are not affected. It is a sad case but by the coming winter season most of the players will be up and running. I worked at Halfmoon during Gilbert and the aftermath. It took us more than a year to get halfmoon on stream. Most workers were laid off, I was one of the few who had a job to help rebuild.
