  • HL!!!.......Here's an interesting article about

the USMNT competing in all the regional tournaments, in 2021.......We should see the largest USMNT player pool ever assembled, to cover Nations League, Olympic Qualifying, Gold Cup and World Cup Qualifying.

    Champagne problem.

Maybe the quality players will help Berhalter keep his job.

Berhalter needs the quality players consistently playing well, and divine intervention. For the sake of the players, I have to force myself to think positively.......U.S. Soccer knows how to test the supporters loyalty.

You're loyal. They should start giving you free USMNT jerseys, apparel and accessories with YOUR membership renewal.

8 players, from the USMNT player pool, have played, so far, in the 2020-21 UEFA Champions League, which is a new USMNT record: https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/202...ampions-league

Tyler Adams (DM) RB Leipzig - 21
Sergino Dest (RB) FC Barcelona - 20
Konrad de la Fuente (LW) FC Barcelona - 19
Ethan Horvath (GK) Club Brugge - 25
Weston McKennie (CM) Juventus FC - 22
                Christian Pulisic (LW) Chelsea F.C. - 22
Giovanni Reyna (AM) Borussia Dortmund - 18
Chris Richards (CB) FC Bayern Munich - 20

*Seeing reports, out of Italy & in the U.S., that Juventus is preparing a $6M-$7M offer for a 19 year-old FC Dallas player. FC Dallas continues to lead the way, as 2 of the 8 players, listed above, are from FC Dallas.......Will keep you updated.
*MLS could have up to 6 of their young players transferred, to Europe, in the Winter transfer window.

The first 2 MLS transfers, of young players, I wrote about:
                  1. Brenden Aaronson; Attacking Midfield; 20; Philadelphia Union - transferring to RB Salzburg for $6M, + with up to $3M in performance bonus, and a 20% sell-on clause. Jesse Marsch used his contacts and negotiating skills to get Aaronson who seemed headed to the Bundesliga.
                  Aaronson '20 Highlights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgGQ4o5fmRE

                  2. Joseph Scally; Right Back; 17 (turns 18 on Dec. 31); NYCFC - transferring to Borussia Monchengladbach for $2M, with bonuses that could increase that fee to $7M.

Don't think Berhalter should be USMNT head coach, BUT he, Ernie Stewart & Brian McBride are going all out to get dual-nationals to commit to the U.S. They had Yunus Musah (eligible for U.S., England, Italy and Ghana), Nicholas Gioacchini (eligible for U.S., Italy and Jamaica), Joao Cardoso (eligible for U.S. and Brazil), Owen Otasowie (eligible for U.S., Nigeria and England), Chituru Odunze (eligible for U.S., England, Nigeria and Canada), and Sebastian Soto (eligible for U.S. and Chile) in the last USMNT camp.......For this December camp (primarily for MLS-based players), it's being reported that, so far, they've convinced 18 year-old Attacking Midfielder, Efrain Alvarez, who switched to Mexico after a falling out with the U.S. U15 head coach, to come to that camp. FMF isn't happy, because he was their best U17 player, last year, and one of their elite young players. Santiago Munoz (18 year-old Center Forward), born in TX, has been one of Mexico's top youth players, but has contacted Gregg and company about switching to the U.S.

*They are also in contact with 19 year-old Arsenal F.C. Center Forward, Folarin Balogun. They want to call him up for one of the early 2021 USMNT camps.

*Here's another young U.S. player doing well in Germany: https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bundes...elona-usa-5591
.......He was called up to train with Schalke 1st team, this week.

To be frank...that does mean something.

Recall, Stewart fell into that category. He was born in the Netherlands...and could play for them.

The season will be very interesting!
