  • Death of Patrick Virtue

The Jamaica College Family and in particular the school’s sporting fraternity is deeply saddened by the recent passing of one of its true stalwarts, Patrick Virtue.
Patrick, a Jamaica College Old Boy, left us last week Thursday February 11, 2010 after suffering a heart attack. He served his Alma Mater in many capacities mainly as football Coach at the Junior level, and member of the management team for the football squads as well as the Track and Field team.

His unselfish and passionate support for and service to the Manning Cup teams is legendary.

He leaves to mourn wife Valerie and sons Andre, Darren and Duane. Andre played football at JC at all levels for several years during which he was an integral part of the school’s successes, he also represented Harbour View FC, the national team and had a stint at Dutch Club, PSV Eindhoven. Darren played for Campion, JC and Tivoli Gardens FC. Duane represented the school at Basketball.

Funeral services will be at the St. Andrew Parish Church at 2.00pm on Saturday, February 20.
