  • Progress! JA v Japan

    1998 World Cup JA defeated Japan.

    - 1998 Japan played TEAM football (= tactically superior) and were generally technically superior;

    - 1998 through to 2018 the gap on technical ability and tactical nous has become an ocean apart/huge! Japan is now light years superior to JA in ever area!

    Ooooh for some JA teachers of the game who have good grasp of the subject matter!

    Ooooh for TEAM! TEAM! Glorious TEAM!

          How does going to 2 GC finals factor in that ,or it was not taken into account ?
          THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

          "Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

          "It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

              I am great!

              Uruguay won twice. My recollection of its population is 3+ million.

              Iceland, I think has a population of 300,000+.

              Yes, it is wonderful to attended at a World Cup however, our ambition is to one day win it. To do so we must continue to improve our football product. That means the teaching/coaching, youth teams play, through to our clubs and at the apex our senior teams play. At each level our national teams must improve such that we go toe to toe with the World's top teams.

              As Bob Marley said we are limited only by our minds...a type of mental slavery, after all each country's national squads consist of a tiny 22 - 30 players. We can do it.
