Is Bello not good enough....or is it that ATLUTD is waiting to make top $$ from a later transfer?

    Its only business USAF.

There's a lot of interest in Bello, from Germany, England & Spain, but he's only 16. Players leaving before 18 were able to get a European passport. Plus, AUFC signed Bello to a Homegrown contract, when Zyen Jones left for free, so they have some control over his move.......The Manchester City "free" signing of Palmer-Brown is the weirdest one - Sporting Kansas City rejected a $1M offer, when he was 16, and a $1.5M offer at 17, both from Juventus. He went on loan, at 19, to Porto, and they offered $3M for him, which was rejected. His SKC contract expired Dec. '17, and Man. City signed him for "free" Jan. '18.

The Palmer-Brown transaction is new to me. Must be a darn good deal that benefit both parties in the long run.

The only parties that benefited from that deal was Manchester City and Palmer-Brown/his agent. Sporting KC had NOTHING to do with it, because he was no longer under contract. People couldn't believe what Vermes/Sporting KC did - letting him go for free, when they had offers. Vermes even mismanaged the kid's career, and, I feel, impeded his development, by not playing him.

The up side to all this transfer of these kids ......is that the USA will have a lot of top trained players to choose from........

I'm happy to see MLS clubs investing more in youth development & producing better players. They need to continue this trend, and start forming more alliances with the better independent academies, to help reduce pay-to-play.......Only a small percentage will become world class players, so the more good youth prospects we produce the better our national program will be.......USSF also needs to do what's necessary so clubs can start getting solidarity or training compensation.

Keep forgetting to ask if you know that one of AUFC's starlets, 18 year-old attacking midfielder Chris Goslin, was born in Jamaica??? He's been representing the U.S. since U15, and there are reports that he has been scouted by teams from Eredivisie & Primeira Liga, but AUFC was smart to sign him to a Homegrown contract, before he could be lured away for free.

Hmmm...just found out too that he is listed as a dual citizen.

He hangs out with Bello quite a lot.

Got the schedule for the ATLUTD 2019 season--beginning in March. Cant wait!
