  • Reggaedoc & HL!!!.......Here's some info on

Ronald Reagan, the racist & bigot:
    1. Was opposed to the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
    2. Was opposed to the Voting Rights Act of 1965 - calling it "humiliating to the South".
    3. Running for Governor (California), in 1966, one of his major campaign promises was to wipe the Fair Housing Act off the books - he said, "If an individual wants to discriminate against Negroes or others in selling or renting his house, he has a right to do so".
    4. Supported Bob Jones University, an overtly racist institution. He fought for BJU to get federal funding despite the fact that they discriminate on the basis of race. In 1983 the Supreme Court decided against BJU getting federal funding, and in retaliation Reagan gutted the Civil Right Commission.
    5. To fund the Contra war, Regan's covert operation flooded the inner cities with untold metric tons of cocaine which fed & accelerated the crack epidemic & the inner city drug wars.
    6. Continued Nixon's War on Drugs with more aggressive policies, such as mandatory minimum for crack, which contributed to contributed to the notable racial disparities in the prison population.
    7. During his time in office, HUD & Justice Department failed to sanction or prosecute banks, realtors and landlords, despite overwhelming evidence of blatant & pervasive racial discrimination.

Ronald Reagan was also a spy for J. Edgar Hoover, the #1 enemy of every influential Black Leader, from Marcus Garvey to Fred Hampton, who were either assassinated of driven out the country.......As Hoover's spy, Reagan help get a lot of people either jailed or ostracized during McCarthyism.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

How could I forget this - Reagan vetoed the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 (the 1st veto of a Civil Rights Act since Andrew Johnson vetoed the Civil Rights Act of 1866).......The Congress & Senate both overrode Reagan's veto.

Reggaedoc!!! Here's the response to your question about MAGA:
You need to look at the slogan carefully - Make America Great Again......If Trump had said Make America Great, then that would be seen as fair & just call to action, as the U.S.A. has never been great, and can never realize its potential for greatness until there is a true comprehensive plan to address racism, poverty, education, healthcare, etc. His slogan is Make America Great Again - When was America ever great for people of color & the poor???, and the Again is a dog whistle call to the racist, those who fear America getting less "white", and those that think people of color are getting too much "power" (triggered by Obama being president). Notice that the racist/ hate groups (Klan, neo-Nazi, Aryan Nation, white nationalist, etc.), embrace Trump's slogan. David Duke publicly called Trump the leader of white America, and repeats his slogan. All yearning for the "good old days", a term used by Trump when his white supporters were beating on black protesters, at one of his rallies.
***This is just a reboot of the old, racist "America First" movement.

And don't forget his support of Botha's apartheid .

Cannot forget when other countries were placing sanctions on SA....Reagan coined the term 'constructive engagement ' towards S.Africa.
