  • Jamaica may have to cede economic sovereignty

    for logistics hub

Jamaica has to decide whether it is ready to cede control of sovereign assets to outside investors to achieve its ambition of becoming a global logistics hub, in the example of Singapore and Dubai, says British High Commissioner to Jamaica Asif Ahmad.

Jamaica wants to position itself to join Rotterdam, Dubai and Singapore as the fourth node in the international logistics chain – a project that it has been talking about for several years and across political administrations.

He gave criticism that deserves economic introspection.

Is it really so in Singapore and the U.K are there others that are successful who dont follow that example who are in our economic position?
THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Tell the AH to take over the crime fighting duties of the JCF fiest, and depending on how successful they are with that, we will consider giving up other aspects of our sovereignty. I mean, people really sit and listen to that kind of crap and dont chase him out of town? There is little hope for Ja

Is there any difference in being killed by a knife or a cutlass?. The one difference is that at least the Chinese are engaged in other aspects of infrastructure development on the island, for whatever that's worth, while the other crooks a just trying to cherry pick low hanging fruit.
