Oh ... I'm no attorney but I would say, it depends on how good the lawyer is. Anyway, mi understand the paper's position on not printing the minister's name. As a matter of fact, this is PNP country, when the PNP comes back to office, Tyrone Reid may not have an escape strategy.

              Ok let's examine this..
              1. a few insect larvae, tall grass, boxes and documents in garage,
              2. unkempt lawn, green pool water (duh!), stained carpet, broken fence, oh a/c line with 'moss'
              3. 'chilling tale' - "It was recognised that it needed major repairs and refurbishing of the interior. It was used in the interim for storage purposes pending repairs. Some damage to the structure occurred during Hurricane Dean," read a response from the ministry.

              and finally:
The former occupants will not be held accountable (for poor conditions) because the repairs are of a structural nature and refurbishing works need to be undertaken due to the age of the properties."

              Am I missing smthing here??????

Did the story say any of these homes were actually lived in for the past few months?

Just asking as I do know that some times these Ministers get these houses but never really live in them.

The ministry also revealed that the former minister left the premises in September 2007. However, our visit on September 26 found the place in a mess. The grass on the property is more than knee-high in some sections, plus a toilet, which did not look new, and boxes with documents were left in the garage.
