I don't have a problem re-examing our practices. Not because it has been there for 40 years means that we have been doing the right thing.

I'm still trying to make up my mind about this one. I'm sure I will have time to flip-flop thereafter.

I think what is reaching Bruce is his 18 years in the wilderness. He remembers the numerous times when reports would reach him after it was out there in the press, and he felt slighted. I think the PNP opposition should like this move, because they will feel more in charge.

But why should that really offend the parliamentarians? Certainly, what is being fed to the press after the cabinet meetings could only be snippets of the entire thing.

I dunno. And I still don't buy your analysis, Willi.

The whole thing is being moved from the real issue - the media feeling they are losing its position of privilage!

Having these press breifings is, like most things, good if properly used.
There will only be a problem if the actions Golding has outlined is followed with other actions moving us towards dictatorship status.

I did not make an analysis, I quoted CIVICS. This the basis of the Westminster moggle!

PNP MPs should love it too.

The point of reporting to parliament is to have it debated and examined by the properly constituted body.

I hope the disrespect of Parliament stop soon. To me this is serious business.

Yuh missi love Iraq war. LoL
