Its now an endemic . Omicron knocked out the Delta. Hospitalizations are down in NY, nothing like the first wave. It passed through us in a month. I see the lifting of masks by the spring, definetly summer.
Granted we dont have another deadlier variant, of note Omicron has made cloth mask obselete , only N95 are effective against that variant, which means the majority of the population has been maskless through this wave. Food for thought what if the next variant is as infectious as Omicron and as deadly as Delta ?
