  • Prime Minister’s bodyguard gunned down

A top level probe is underway into Thursday night's fatal shooting of a member of the security team assigned to Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller.

Detective Sergeant Everton Brown, who also served as a bodyguard to P.J Patterson when he was Prime Minister, was gunned down on Sundown Crescent off Molynes Road in St. Andrew.

It is reported that shortly before 9 o'clock Sergeant Brown took a female companion home.

Gunmen then walked up and opened fire hitting Sergeant Brown.

He was later pronounced dead at hospital.

His killers took his firearm and motorcar.

The vehicle was recovered minutes later near Bay Farm Road.

Deputy Commissioner of Police in Charge of Crime, Mark Shields, says a meeting will be held Friday morning to review the investigation carried out so far.

And Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Lincoln Robinson says Mrs. Simpson Miller has expressed shock at the news of her bodyguard's death.

Mr. Robinson described Sergeant Brown as a caring and committed member of the Prime Minister's security team.

She is still the PM until Bruce is sworn in...dont be so hasty to kick her out let the process takes its course, if there was an emergency right now it would be her who would be in charge...
Solidarity is not a matter of well wishing, but is sharing the very same fate whether in victory or in death.

I think it was the Breasfast Club I heard it that she has 3 days. Personally I'm watching how things go to see if a gov't is really needed.

Why would I post the article then?
