Establish a firm policy that all the proceeds from the divestment of government assets must be used to reduce the national debt. (There went the new ethanol refinery to the highest bidder)
Embark on a comprehensive tax reform programme designed to simplify the tax system, make it more equitable, remove disincentives to investment (More Tax break for the rich, how will we pay for all the freeness we love?)
We will pursue a firm-centric approach to attract “brand name” investors whose operations are globally integrated and are pacesetters for other investments. (More Slave Labour, minimum wage is only $50 USD a week in Jamaica)
Provide the legislative framework for and encourage the establishment of a
Credit Bureau (Welcome TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian - all of us have a TRN now...)
Promote the expansion of marinas in Ocho Rios and Montego Bay which,
together with the Port Antonio marina, will be aggressively marketed to attract mega-yacht visitors and sport fishing activities. (They don't want them in Florida any more why put them in Jamaica fi mash up di coral dem...)
