Lived there for a few years -

Going East from Kingston continue on about 1/4 or 1/2 mile from the Harbour View round-a-bout.

    Entrance on your right!

      In the freaking Caribbean Sea!

In other words, it is right in front of Harbour View, just before you get to the big bridge when coming from the east. I believe the Hope River is crossed by that bridge. It lies between Donald Quarrie High and the bridge, near to the Harbour View Drive-In.

Some houses sit right on the Caribbean Sea and were supposed to be have been protected by a sea wall. Houses go in about 2 or 3 blocks in, so some will not take the direct force of the waves, but even the ones that are closest to the main road, near Harbour View, are not far enuff for some wave action.

I saw the devastation after Ivan and will probably go take a look at the result of Dean's fury later today.

Thanks, perhaps they should have called the place Caribbean Sea not Caribbean Terrace.

Was nice set of persons/families there.

BTW - Carvel Stewart - the KSAFA man and the engineer who is overseeing the construction of the JFF's Academy - lives (lived right across from the dangerous 'breaking away sea-walls'. His house could also be badly hit!

Him buy a house in the sea, and him is an engineer - how can I trust his judgement with the construction of the JFF academy
