prove that whites are more intelligent than blacks. I don't buy it whatsoever. First of all I think it takes a lot more intelligence to survive in an environment over run with fast moving and savage animals than one where the main problem is outrunning "fast moving" glaciers. The discovery of fire is the most important factor in being able to live in the north.
Where was fire discovered? That, to my knowledge has not been determined even though every picture you see of early man around a fire, it is a white cave man. Why? Perpetuating the myth?
Consider this, any species that choses to live in freezing temperatures must either have less intelligence or does not have the ability to move. You could only evolve and adapt to living on a block of ice after living there for thousands of years. Why the hell would you do that?? Today it makes more sense to live in Alaska as there are modern facilities and amenities to allow you to live there comfortably. Considering that it is pretty much accepted and a proven fact that every living individual came from one single female in Africa more than 200,000 years ago, the the genetic makeup of early man must have been so that he would have been better able to adapt to a warm climate. The argument a Finn might make today that-- we love the cold weather-- would not have applied to early man.
Now the argument made that after 40 years of equal opportunities in the US that clear patterns have emerged between the races win terms of athletic and academic accomplishments. I regard the failure of blacks to excelled in academics, thus demonstrating "intelligence", as cultural and behavioural. The point I made in an earlier post is that blacks here do not have the culture of education. That is, not enough of us over the last 100 years have told our kids from they are one day old that "you are going to college and be a doctor". That is not ingrained in our culture. How many black parents will refuse to go to bed night after night until their kid has done their homework properly. How many make education and homework an absolute priority?
With regard to the physical attributes that make blacks better athletes, they are supposedly the same qualities that make them lousy swimmers. What about weightlifting?? Do the Russians and Bulgarians have genes better suited to weight-liftng?? Do the Japanese have genes that make some of the men very large and be better sumo wrestlers.
Physical differences do exist and contribute to the accomplishments of a people, however how do we account for JA with the same genes pool as the rest of the Caribbean being so dominant in T&F, probably even better than the US on a per capita basis. I say society and culture are important components.
I also think that mental capacity and physical capacity are completely different and that you cant measure one with the same yardstick as the other. Opening the school doors to all races does not guarantee that they all enter it with the same determination and application. So you can't measure intelligence by that.
