I been listening to Cliff Hughes and his crew on Nationwide covering the hurricane. First time listening to them and I like the coverage and the spirit of the team. I'll have to bookmark them for the election and general news coverage.
Interesting, but clearly pro-JLP.
I think they have also taken the electioneering to a height that makes them appear foolish and arrogant.
They floated the idea...more than floated...that the declaration of a State of Public Emergency was a ploy to manipulate the electoral process. ...and, after getting the JLP's Delroy Chuck to agree - Chuck said that it was strange that the government did not await the light of day to assess damage and by inference level of looting and or break-ins and any other criminal activity before moving. - they got the Attorney General on and issued instructions on how the PM should manage the matter and demanded with hints of foreboding (threats?) of possible 'ruptions' conflagration.
Appeared to be attempts to incite, ...foolish and arrogant. Just as foolish and arrogant as at times have been Mark Wignal and Dawn Rich.

Well the 9:00 am news indicates that a house collapsed on a man .. he died.
2 bodies were found in ... Old Harbour. they're yet to determine if their death had anything to do with the hurricane.

Despite Karl's comical comrade post ... there is some good news.
It would seem to me that the 'comical charade' would be to await break-in, lootings...bog down roads with vehicular traffic that could/would get in the way of first responders...and, then put in a State of Public Emergency?
I would think preventing such happenings would be the way to go...but, then I am just a 'comical comrade'...the smart Lazie-ites do not believe in putting in preventative measures...they await mayhem and then act. I suppose they would then tell the people, "It hot, but hush"?

Unfortunately another person died because of Dean! A man in Trelawny went outside during the hurricane to fix 'something' and he was hit in the head.
