The first Covid case was reported in November, which means it was probably around in October and being classified as pneumonia. It was probably an increase in cases with an unidentified virus that led them to classify the organism and cause as Covid. Wuhan is a major trade City China that imports and exports internationally. Jamaica has a noticeable chinese population that trade on a small and large scale within the island, linking it to mainland China. This begs the question if Jamaicas has experienced an increase in deaths from October being linked to respiratory illnesses specifically pneumonia. That would be a true indication if Covid is endemic in the island. If it's not the next question would be why not given our chinese contacts.

We can use the same theory to question the rates in the west ,specifically America, was there an increase in respiratory deaths that exploded in February and March, that went under the radar. That question will be answered in years to come, when the post mortems are done.
