  • Bruce has won this debate hands down

It was not even close and we are not even half way thru it. Peter Phillips will certainly be elected as President of the PNP when they are in opposition.

The worst part about this debate is Ian Boyne. I'm just happy the fool is not asking questions. It's bad enuff listening to him as moderator as he truncates the letter "h' from the English language.

He could not find a blue tie in his closet?
Solidarity is not a matter of well wishing, but is sharing the very same fate whether in victory or in death.

You really believe this one debate clinches the election for the JLP? ...or, are you saying the mode of the people, the JLP electioneering and this performance of Bruce will collectively carry the day?

I really think that people are fed up of the PNP.

Portia had a singular opportunity to use the last year to make radical changes
and show that she represented a breath of fresh air and real change to PJs scandal ridden kleptocratic regime. She wasted that opportunity due to fear of rocking the boat. Heads should have rolled over Trafigura alne and nothing... In the end, I think her COWARDICE will do her in.

I was not happy with how she answered the Phillip Paulwell question either...

I gave it some more time, to see if the tide would turn. No it did not.

                It is a blowout.

That one she fell down on badly.

The matter of her grasp of how appropriations of budget funds are moved around, when asked how the money was found to pay for (I think it was her new Health measures - no payment for health care at governement institutions) got what I would call acknowledge of ignorance on the matter. I think her answer was I checked with the Minister of Finance and was told the money was there...or, I checked before I made the announcement...or, some such thing.

I think that in the area where the JLP is being attacked as not having the funds to finance their promises...she should have come prepared to state exactly where the money would be coming from to fund the recently announced Education fee support and Free Health Care for 18 and under persons. That was another 'flub'!

Tongue in cheek nothing. Portia looks pitiful. She is stiff as a board, she is unable to provide answers that cover her time alotted and her rebuttals (and answers) are a lot of promises and commitments, no plans as to how she will, for instance, try to get rid of corruption.

                    This is embarrassing.

I was hoping I would see a relaxed Portia, not one who has been coached, in fact, over-coached. I think such a Portia would have done well enuff for me not to quiver when she is about to give an answer.
