A Diamond is now on the defensive following a dub she did for Code Red dissing Fire Links.
The dub was done for, and played at, the recently held Fully Loaded event.
According to Macka, "Mi hear sey him (Fire Links) a cuss an' gwaan bad ... Mi hear sey him did upset bad 'bout it, 'cause a fi mi tune write him off properly a Fully Loaded."
Macka Diamond gave THE STAR a piece of how the dub went: "Mi sey, Wyclef si mi nookie an think a scotch bonnet, a call mi a beg mi fi nm it, Swamp King si goat an run gone guh ram it, di one Fire Links him s... Shebada h..., tonight a Loaded mi a guh murder him good."
Too personal
However, Macka says she does not see any reason for Fire Links to take her 'special' so personally.
"... Mi nuh feel nuh way like sey mi dis him. A jus' fun ting, 'cause a me sey 'Lexus and Benz, a dat Matterhorn f... man fah', an Matterhorn nuh sey nutt'n. When Matterhorn si mi, a bare laugh him laugh," Macka said.
She also added, "Beenie Man do one (dub) too, Vegas do one too, a nuh me alone. Is a job an' somebody a pay yuh fi do a special. Suh Links, nuh bodda tek it to heart. Jus' know sey a music. Mi do tune fi Links, him produce tune wey mi do already, suh mi nuh have nutt'n 'gainst him."
When contacted by THE STAR, Fire Links, however, refused to make any comments on the matter.
But Fire Links was not the only person who felt the biting effects of a dub at Fully Loaded. The show's promoter, Sharon Burke, was dragged into the 'special' disses. It was reported that Black Chiney's dubs against Burke were so over the top that they were booed off stage.
The dub that has caused the most controversy was one done by Vegas.
Burke, however, was not willing to comment on the matter. She said she did not even hear most of what took place, but said that the people who were there and heard it, found it to be offensive.
However, Burke said, "Vegas (who voiced the dub), is somebody I respect and I didn't expect that from him, but he came and apologised and his apology is accepted."
Vegas explained that "the whole thing was done under gimmicks for Fully Loaded."
