Admitting what??? Racism, prejudice, bigotry & intolerance has always been a threat, and it has never gone away. It's institutionalized, and whenever they feel or think they are loosing power/control they rile up the disenfranchised, racists & bigots by finding a scapegoat(s) to blame for the problems - This is nothing new.......It was done to African-Americans during Reconstruction, The Great Depression & Civil Rights Movement.
Donald Trump is taking his cue from an old racist "play book", that's been used over the decades & centuries.......Ronald Reagan was far more successful at executing this "play book", hence the claims that he was the greatest U.S. president.

What's new is it's being done against the progressive initiates post civil rights era,the common consensus was right wing white male extremism was checked ,neutered! This president has given it new life ,therefore it is the number (1) threat against democracy in America.

It knows no class,no institution is sacred.Cc the presidency and Senate.

Here are 2 post Civil Rights era presidents -

Ronald Reagan 1980-1988 (a post Civil Rights era president):
1. Opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Voting Rights Act of 1965 (calling it "humiliating to the South") and California's Fair Housing legislation. He vetoed the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987. He openly supported Bob Jones University (an overtly racist institution) and fought against revoking their tax exemption status.
2. Continued Nixon's "War on Drugs" with more aggressive policies, such as mandatory minimums (for crack), which contributed to the notable disparities in the prison population.
3. To fund his anti-communist wars in Central America, he was responsible for dumping untold metric tons of cocaine in the inner cities, accelerating & multiplying the crack epidemic, and the inner city drug wars. This also directly contributed to the exploding prison industrial complex.
4. During his presidency, HUD & the Justice Department ignored & failed to prosecute or sanction banks, realtors and landlords despite evidence of blatant & pervasive racial discrimination.
5. Greatly underfunded AIDS research & ignored the AIDS epidemic, for years, which ravaged the inner city.
- That's just some of Reagan's racist acts. I didn't even mention any of the cuts that directly affected the inner city & poor.

Bill Clinton 1992-2000 (a post Civil Rights era president):
1. To prove that he was a "tough on crime/drugs" president, like Nixon, Reagan & Bush, he not only embraced the "War on Drugs", he put it on steroids with the "3 Strike Law". This led to thousands of African-American men & women being imprisoned for non-violent drug crimes.
2. Followed up the "3 Strike Law" with the 1033 Program, that militarized the local/state police forces.

* In 2013, Ken Emanuelson (Texas Tea Party Leader) said, "The Republican Party doesn't want black people to vote if they are going to vote 9 to 1 for Democrats".
* In 2016, Rep. Steve King (R-IA) said, "White Christians have contributed more to Western Civilization than any other subgroup".......and in 2017, "Muslim children are preventing our civilization from being restored".
* In 2002, Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) spoke at a conference hosted by the white supremacist group European-American Unity and Rights Organization.

The things that Donald Trump & his administration are doing & saying is nothing new. Focus on the actions, and not the messenger.

Yes ,with hate or antisemetic crime up 12 to 65%, depending on which data sheet you are looking at culminating with the 1st documented massacre of Jews in America with 1year and 3 months of his presidency.

Yes the under belly of racial politricks is nothing new but this ((constant ))bellowing of racial sterotypes and demogoguery from the highest office in the land ,the most powerful seat in the world ,is something new.

I will add whats new , is the media seeing the "white in their (own) eyes " the racial stereotypes that's projected in the media and this is the hypocrisy.Where in the past the media was complicit with the projection of racial stereotypes to keep the masses divide to justify agendas , now they are split with one media outlet (FOX) continuing and amping up stereotypes in the most unapologetic shameful way to support a racist presidency, the adversaries "CNN and MSNBC" have now taken the mantle to call out the "white in their eyes " i.e racial stereotypes because they are under attack by this racist president and its propaganda arm (FOX) .

In truth they have no choice but to highlight stereotypes that they project because they have an audience which has a larger share of the media market that wants the truth and it sells,if not the truth they want an alternative to their racist ideology , but what if the stereotypes that FoX and the president project had a bigger market share than its adversaries ?

I have no doubt that CNN & MSNBC would be fighting for that market to be its primary seller.
