  • A movie about Jamaican jazz pianist and

    composer, Don Shirley, will be released November 21, by Universal Pictures.

    Don Shirley was born in Kingston, Jamaica.......The movie, Green Book, follows his 1962 concert tour through the Deep South. The movie won the People's Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival, in September.......Mahershala Ali portrays Don Shirley.

    Don Shirley passed April, 2013, in New York.

      Very great child of the soil. Composer, pianist, painter and psychologist. A true renaissance man.
