I just found Dennis Brown version of Wichita Lineman and compare it to Glen Campbell's. Tell me D. Brown is not a class singer.

I have never been a Dennis Brown fan.

Gregory Isaacs much more my speed.

Gregory is a a good writer and decent singer but he can't hit the notes and have the command of D Brown. Few singers in Jamaican history could hit the notes D Brown could in his heyday.

I still like Gregory and big up to his wife June for continuing the Gregory legacy.

He was amazing on this one.
The comparison..reminds me of Kenny Rogers and Teddy Pendergrass targeting the same Lady.
Incidentally, I prefer Teddy's, nevertheless, Kenny's is top shelf too.

Another rare moment, D Brown's for me.

I prefer to refer to Dennis Brown as Bob Marley's favourite singer who Bob thought was untouchable singing wise.
