Jamaica does not need the unenviable title of being the murder capital of the world. Our search for a solution resulted in a flirtation with the British overseas police officers, which was disastrous. All we were left with after several years and millions of dollars poorer was brutem fulfilmen - 'empty thunder'. Can we now look to North America - perhaps the Federal Bureau of Investigation - or the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, as well as suitably qualified persons from the Jamaican diaspora for a new commissioner? It's time for a change agent within the JCF

Trinity earned the right to have a say, and he speaks with authority.However, I disagree with his assessment of Shield's et al tenures as abysmal failures ,on the grounds, it was an improvement to what we had;the newly found emphasis on corruption,the baby steps made towards modernizing police data base etc.
It is a relay, and the next stage is to tap into the resources of the coveted investigative body of the US which is already in Jamaica.
If only all those criminals (politicians and barefoot fellows)were lotto scammers, the problem would be solved.

The British were failures as they are in most everything they are involved with except money laundering; highly overrated and self-congratulatory. Don't believe me?. Just read any British account of the American war of Independence; you would get the impression that they won and America is still a British colony. No fan of theirs here. Trinity is on point. Was a waste of money. The only foreigner who should be considered is a member of the Jamaican diaspora, currently serving in high crime jurisdiction in the USA and understands the Jamaica
crime culture. Yes, there are such persons and they should be offered the job.

Trinity has matured tremendously, the only thing unchanged about him is his fearlessness.We would need 50 clones of Trinity to challenge the status quo, all retaining his undisputed bravery and current maturity to have any chance of success.
I, personally speaking, would love to see Trinity (who was once part of the problem)become an employee of INDECOM.
We are at a fork in the road(only two prongs are viable options to the middle third), some amongst us are advocating turning back the hands of time, and our PM out of desperation is facilitating those very efforts, hence the PM, without just reasons and needed research, will criticise INDECOM(if only that body would just take a vacation according to them),much in the same way Bruce looked the other way while Agents of the State murdered people in TG during the infamous incursion.
No reason to think Adams changed, ergo he should not be a viable candidate..

Based on my observation, there is a good possibilty we will have a coup detat triggered by the military with the lap dog JCF in full compliance.

How can you tell an officer to commit one of the most outrageous crimes(murder)in the name of the state and then take issue with that officer selling drugs, etc?

As to the FEDS, when did they leave?
Those soon to be all dead misbehaving lads in Montego Bay really did not want ZOSO and or SOE, just like our politicians are against the FEDS being overtly involved,and with a much wider scope of operations.

It is a rebellion of sorts we are witnessing, only it is being misdirected.

How do you equate extrajudicial killer ( Adams) to being a drug dealer.The reality is the state is failing it's citizens with it's astronomical murder rate.The thing is, it was failing when Adams was in uniform,so basically they are drawing for a tried and proven failure.

You are missing the the point, and in more ways than one.
What I said isn't specific to Adams, who according to him,has only killed one person in his career.The circumstances surrounding that killing we are not privy to.., yet you called him Mr Extrajudicial..
See on one hand, you acknowledge that he facilitates summary executions but then fail to consider the likelihood of his henchmen committing lesser offenses primarily for personal gains.In fact Adans alluded to that in one of his interviews when he said one of his good crew member was transferred to Mobay and became caught up..
To compound matters, you act as if selling drugs would be The cardinal sin as opposed to murder.

I know as a fact that at least two very famous (former)lawmen wwere involved in the illicit trade(one was even a hitman), and as far as I am concerned, it was an easy decision for them given they murdered people in the name of the State throughout their career.
