Di man ask a question!THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!
"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.
"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Well they got the job based on their political connections not on any previous experience. The irony is that this 'connectedness' was something you would never hesitate to denounce back in the day.
This is more than the usual pork barrel BS. Screwing around with the FLA in this manner can/did cost lives. One would have expected better from the new and improved. To be fair to the PM I doubt he expected them to gwan so bad after appointing them.

I know that everyone's ears went up when they heard Dennis Meadows' name, but when was he appointed to the board?
Why was a police officer on secondment to the FLA sent back to the JCF? Are you certain he was at the FLA based on his political connections?

Example:
Sunday Gleaner sources last Friday pointed to an applicant who was convicted of illegal possession of firearm and money laundering in the United States before being deported to Jamaica. He applied for a firearm permit and was denied in 2011 but was approved on appeal in March 2012.
In another case, the applicant was found to have been convicted and sentenced for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition in 2011 and his April 2014 application denied. This was overturned on appeal in June 2014."Jamaica's future reflects its past, having attained only one per cent annual growth over 30 years whilst neighbours have grown at five per cent." (Article)

Hey Lazie you like to talk about facts then conveniently leave some out.
You mention people getting excited about Dennis Meadows as if, but wait there's more: Dennis Wright, Shane Dalling which party did they run for and lose? and were they appointed to the board just fired?
You give examples but once again very selective. You left out this example in the same article:
"Among the allegations was one of a woman granted a licence for a firearm solely on the basis that she was a friend of a member of the board which recently resigned."
Or this one:
"The letter writer also charged that a dealership licence was approved by the Dennis Wright-led board based on the recommendation of a senior staff member, who was aware that the person granted the approval was not the original applicant. This was a clear breach of the FLA rules."
Come bettah. Wait till you have to defend the real Murder Board. Not pretty.

I actually agree it's not solely a JLP issue but when man hungry dem nyam quick and recklessly. This coupled with the murder rate is not a good look for the gov't of the day. Man getting licence who shouldn't when people getting shot like flies. Not defensible my youth let's agree on that.
