I have no clue what they do in JA, I know its being done in the U.K and I believe thats where it belongs (higher eduaction) , on the question of standardization you could opine on the topic instead of the red herring.

THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

While you said a lot here and I am about to say, you are very good forumite who can accept others point of view sometimes, you still hasn't answer Mosiah's question.

Most Jamaicans speak Patois or English?

All the minister is saying we have to accept where we are and move ahead. He is not advocating for English not to be our formal language an I know some schools are busy promoting Spanish too.

Maybe if you answer the question and re-read what Mr. Reid is saying you will get a better understanding.
"The minister told the audience that while Patois is being validated, there is an opportunity for the learning of English, Spanish and other languages as that is “what education is about.”

              Jackass!

              You understood that?!!

Gamma ....sit down and shut the fUkk up !!

I conceded 2 times in this thread to the argument.

The second time I wrote the word concede in bold.

I was wrong to include you.

I was wrong on the topic.

For your legal mind, here is what concede means:

                con·cede.
                .

                [kənˈsēd]

                VERB

1.admit that something is true or valid after first denying or resisting it:

"I had to concede that I'd overreacted" ·
                [more]

                synonyms: admit · acknowledge · accept · allow · grant · recognize · own · confess ·
                [more]

                •admit (defeat) in a contest:

                "he conceded defeat"
                synonyms: capitulate · give in · give · surrender · yield · give up · submit ·
                [more]

                •admit defeat in (a contest):

"ready to concede the gold medal"

2.surrender or yield (something that one possesses):

"to concede all the territory he'd won"

synonyms: surrender · yield · give up · relinquish · cede · hand over

So again ....Shut the fuukk up and sit down!

                Thanks in advance.

                    Relax, HL.

                    What did you concede?

Mosiah, I am going to concede that I do not fully understand this debate...
