THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

So far, the distinction between the JLP and the JLP isn't worth noting as it pertains to curbing the crime rate.
We need a completely different strategy, the misconception is our current crime strategy can be effective but we need the right party to be in power..
Is there any facet of the society that would have you terribly impressed by either of the parties?
We have failed the next generation, and beautiful Jamaica.

        True,

However, we did have a HUGE lull in 2010.
Why are people not analysing that to see why it worked and why you had gunmen voluntarily turning themselves in?

Military & police forces killing 70+ people (within a couple of days) in state of emergency environment utilizing mortars etc has a "shock & awe" effect... temporarily

Not a sustainable policy...unless yuh name Duterte

No man, the lull was AFTER that and for weeks if not months.

Bruk out the soldjie mechanized units when you have flare up and saturate the area and pull in some so called Dons and the message will be Crystal clear that play time is over.

To be effective long term, the Ticians and uptown man dem who sustaining the criminal industry need rounding up too. Cut off the air supply.

The obvious question is who will Watch the watcher!

I have been echoing your third sentence from time immemorial. The biggest deterant to Jamaican criminals would be to see their uptown facilitators being handled 'robustly'. Don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen especially from this present gov't. On crime Jamaica is "fu **ed" since the real criminals aren't going to arrest themselves.

Yuh know what, if its gonna be solved on our Watch, it has to be NOW, not in some undisclosed future.

Anything else means we as a country are comfortable in the cesspool we inhabit since how long now.

How man like Butch Stewart who claim to love playing domino on streetside downtown back in the heyday not dedicating significant funds to solve the issue? How can another million help him, afterall, given him cyaan tek it with him!

Him a 70 summen now and have a few mobile/healthy years left. I fail to see how him nuh respond to him soul cry which is to recover the days of yore when man could stop off anywhere dungtung and feel save and relaxed and drop a 6-0 pon other elders... Same fi Lee-Chin.

The problem is we are disconnected to TRUE beauty and True wealth! A Jamaica strong, free and caring for one another...

That paradigm change ... Uptown facilitators are now from downtown .... They don't have to rely on anyone for money the way they used to although they still have access to those channels.

The change is generational, corruption is ingrained in the constitution and the social class is disconnected from each others economic plight( every man fi imself) in other words Butch and Lee Chin see nothing in common to play dominoes with the likkle man like they did in the 60 - 90s.

Our only hope is agitators pushing constitution reform that will break down this colonial order.

                    It is killing us !

yes X, but I recently saw a squad of of soldiers on foot patrol in Lucea back streets, and they have given the soldiers the Hanover Museum as their Up Park Camp, so they will be there for a while and the craziness is quitting down, hopefully they will extend there service to the rest of the parish.
