    WASHINGTON — President Trump asked the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, to shut down the federal investigation into Mr. Trump’s former national security adviser, Michael T. Flynn, in an Oval Office meeting in February, according to a memo Mr. Comey wrote shortly after the meeting.

    “I hope you can let this go,” the president told Mr. Comey, according to the memo.

          He is crippled officially! The question is will this sore be aloowed to fester and boil until 2020 or be scraped or cauterized to a sracp heap.

          I think he will continue with other self inflicted wounds until the politics of his odious optics is unbearable for the politrickians.

            That I do agree with. His agenda is pretty much sidelined

            In fact it may be better for Democrats if he hangs on and be impotent, than for him to go and they have to deal with Pence.

            It's possible that he simply won't run for a second term.

                The Repugs are starting to wise up now. If they lose their majority next year then the Democrats will get a clear run.
