So it seems my friend was right.
Just got the following letter from ATL United:

Today, we are announcing the following three changes to our upcoming home schedule: •The July 30th match vs. Orlando City SC, scheduled to be at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, will now be played at Bobby Dodd Stadium on Saturday, July 29th at 5 p.m., and will be a live national broadcast carried by FOX.
•The August 13th match vs. Minnesota United, as well as the August 19th match vs. LA Galaxy, will be rescheduled to later dates at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Those dates are TBD and will be announced in the coming weeks.
For the July 29th match now scheduled to be played at Bobby Dodd Stadium, you will receive a credit for each seat you own. You can expect to receive that refund back to your account within the next week.
Now, what's messed up is that I have tickets to see Manchester City v. Spurs in Nashville TN on the 29th. I was planning to fly back early on the 30th to see the Orlando game...so that plan is royally screwed.
As it stand, it's not likely they will even meet the next scheduled deadlines.
