  • Islan & USAF - the residual effects or consequences of

unintended actions ,Trumps travel ban will cause a decrease in tourism to and from the USA,already I am hearing people are scared of traveling esp immigrants ,with and without greencards and US passports, the effect is a hit on the airline industry, hotel and tourist attractions.2nd as I said before its getting harder to find cheap labor to harvest crops on farms and construction work, again an increase in cost of food and construction i.e houses and materials .

Prediction inflation. As I said Trump with noise will affect wall street bottom line i.e profits !

Some industries will be affected negatively and others will thrive.

In between the theatrics and the sideshows the Trump team is killing regulations in the energy industry as we speak, next target is the financial services industry and eventually taxes. Big business is salivating as they wait to get their breaks.

I doubt the revised travel ban ( coming next week) will affect tourism much. It is said that it will exempt green card holders and people who have already traveled regularly to the US.

There will likely be more inflation, that is not necessarily an economy killer especially if it is accompanied by the rising wages which should occur if workers are difficult to find.

Wall Street seems happy, stock markets just had the best first month for a new president since the 60s.

That is all speculation, that those slashing of regulations will create a massive increase in jobs, true it shows on Wall Street, given the unintended ,how long will it last?

The more he gets in conflicst with the courts, bipartisan politicians even pro partisan Republican's,the less likely anything productive as per jobs will be manifested ?

Trump has done nothing but show boat with business heads, the public will soon call him out for proof on his job making initiatives. If he can get that construction bill through it will be a positive sign for him, granted I expect to see it wrapped with conflicted corrupted interest.

Wall Street doesn't care about jobs primarily, it cares first and foremost about revenue and profit. It only cares about job growth insofar as it will result in more profit for big business in the long term.

Slashing regulations and lowering taxes results in reduced expenses that go straight to the bottom line. That is what they are expecting from Trump and will put up with all his antics and intolerance as long as he delivers on those promises.

The jobs talk is for the cult followers, not for big business. Trump has much less control over that than he wants to believe particularly the type of jobs his support base are hoping for, but he likely can keep them in a trance for an extended period before reality sets in. They won't desert him any time soon, that's not his problem. His bigger problem is if the D.C. swamp drowns him.

Exactly, its a show ,i dont believe he will create a 1/4 of the jobs he is boasting about, and the unintended effects will start to show on wall street, meaning profits will be affected.

People keep seeing and saying the stock market is doing good, pretty sure the small man is watching and asking how does that help me get a job, worse yet deal with the coming inflation.

Its not a month yet and Trump doesnt look like he is going to temper down his combative chaotic show,it will have a negative effect on wall street in the future, just my opinion.

            That sounds like a Seaga-speak!
The facts he ignored were linked to increased numbers in poverty. ...to buttress his show of great economic progress he simply ignored vast numbers of the citizens and put forth a population size that allowed his false figures to be accepted by his JLP crazies! Unfortunate for him he did not find a way to purge the voters' roll and thus was uncermoniously kicked out of office by huge numbers who were living in poverty!

Trump has had his GOPers working on massive voter suppression...but his policies, as were Seaga's, hurt the middle-class and the poor. They shall exact their pound of flesh via the polls!

Rise in wages can't compete in the globalized / tech world.Meaning developing/ third world nations with cheap Labor and developed nations with high tech robotic infrastructure.

Pres. Donald Trump is "Making America Great Again", and more than before, May GOD Bless America, because the S#!T they (Republicans & Trumpsters) want to do is ridiculous - One of my business partners was asked if we would be interested in getting in on the "Trump Wall"; What they have to replace "Obamacare" is a joke & a disaster, because they are having problems providing the parts of the ACA that are popular, and are floating the idea of making "cuts" to Medicaid & Medicare; And it gets worse.......Damn Circus!!! But I'm not surprised by any of the BS.

I will admit this ( if ) the economy blast off under Trump,it only proves that the office of the presidency is figuratively based on symbolism, meaning the government or shitstem run tings. We have a 2nd or 3rd government Running things.

just spoke to citizen today who was going to DR but said they are not going with the crazies that is going on. I can only imagine the cut in air travel that it has cost over the past few weeks. With this fear it will cause a lot of ordinary people, and immigrants to hold their purse string and other people to seek alternative to American goods.

Anyone who's familiar with modern U.S. political history shouldn't be surprised. Anyone who's been keenly following what's been transpiring, in politics, for about the last 15 years shouldn't be surprised.......The problem is that people still think that this is the same Republican party under Reagan & Bush. That change pretty much started under George W. and hit hyperdrive levels when a Black Man was elected President of the United States.......NOW, the level of entertainment, distraction & bravado, from the unstable Faux-Republican out front, is new & unpredictable, BUT the "real action", to achieve their goals, is going well - Look at the members of Trump's cabinet & the Laws they are targeting. This new Republican party is falling over itself to get these money-grubbing, anti-regulation, anti-labor rights & "anti-government services/management" opportunists in place.

We see demonstrations now, which is good, BUT too many Americans are easily appeased & bamboozled.

Farm Wages to Show Real-Time Impact of Trump Deportation Policy

Across America’s orchards and crop fields, a shrinking supply of migrants has already driven pay up faster than in the broader workforce. President Donald Trump’s immigration policy may turbocharge that trend.

Wages for U.S. fieldworkers rose 36 percent over the past decade through the conclusion of last year’s harvest in October, compared with 27 percent among non-farm employees, government data show. Reducing the supply of labor wouldn’t just cause pay gains to accelerate: The Trump administration’s expanded deportations for undocumented immigrants could put some growers out of business if the actions aren’t accompanied by increases in workers available through legal guest-worker programs.
