KRS is not Jamaican ! same with smith and wesson , same with a tribe called quest , Rappers would and upto this day promote their west indian heritage , esp if it is Jamaican , and it is because of the link Jamaican rappers have always promoted as being an essential part of rap or maybe its just a love for the musical culture or the culture.

Having a linguistic barb to that effect was /is common in a verse or two.But it speaks to your error in stating rappers were ashamed or hiding their Jamaican links, would not KRS 1 hide it , if he were Jamaican?

The bridge is over went to # 1 in NY when he rebutted MC marley Marl for lying that hip hop began in Queens bridge , he sampled Super cat boops , which is a ska sampled song from the Ethiopians "train to skaville" , interesting about KRS 1 , is he also sampled Don drummond man in the street to do " edutainment "

THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.
