THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Positive signs for Clinton in North Carolina, Florida

The Clinton campaign describes both North Carolina and Florida as "checkmate" states. Trump probably can't win if he loses either.

After trailing in mail ballots, Democrats surged ahead of Republicans in North Carolina ballots cast after the start of in-person early voting last week. Democrats currently lead in ballots submitted, 47 percent to 29 percent.

GOP HOLDING ITS OWN – When absentee-ballot voting intensified mid-month, the GOP had reason to be nervous. Republicans typically dominate with mail-in voting. But Democrats were closer than ever. On the morning that in-person early voting began, the GOP advantage over Democrats in absentee ballots cast was just 1.7 percentage points. But in 2012 at the same period relative to the election, the GOP lead was 5.3 points. When in-person early voting began Monday, Democrats cut the margin more. But since then, the margin has stabilized. Republicans are ahead. But barely so. Still they’re still ahead. Republicans’ margin was just 0.5 points as of this morning, when they cast 1,171,142 of the 2.9 million ballots compared to the 1,156,793 cast by Democrats. Sometime after we publish at 7 a.m., the state will post an updated set of numbers that capture thousands of more ballots.

A Republican consultant in the state, David Johnson, said he believed Clinton could win by as much as three points, thanks in part to the shortcomings of his own party’s get-out-the-vote efforts.

“We used to have a great statewide operation,” Johnson told the Naples Daily News. “Now I’m not convinced that’s going on, because I don’t see the evidence. And I see it on the Democrats’ and their allies’ side.”

The Latino surge of 2016: Early voting points toward the real “hidden voters” of this election?

In North Carolina the early vote is up 75 percent; it’s up 25 percent in Colorado. Most pollsters will admit that surveys that don’t sample Spanish-speaking households — as most do not — and are almost assuredly undercounting Clinton’s share of support.
